John Higgins is the Co-Founder, Chief Innovation Officer & Advisory Board Member of Nablis LLC. An award winning and industry recognized thought leader in the field of HR & Learning, John has over 25 years of leadership and consulting experience developed during his career with IBM, KPMG/BearingPoint, and Accenture. John has led leadership development in Asia, Europe, North America and South America.
John’s expertise includes professional services practice creation and leadership, complex systems integration and outsourcing projects, ERP implementation, operations management, sales, talent management, leadership development, executive coaching, employee engagement, and increasing the business impact of HR & learning.
John was Imagine Communications’ Chief People Officer & Executive Vice President. At Imagine, John’s expertise included Talent Acquisition, Talent Management & Development, Compensation Planning, Rewards & Recognition, Employee Engagement, Performance Management, and global resource planning.
Before Imagine, John’s executive roles were in the areas of growth & solution development (The Training Associates) and talent management (Bridgepoint Education).
At Bridgepoint, John proved his advanced ability in talent management as the first VP of Talent Management for the company. In his role, John recruited top talent, created high performing individuals and returns, developed leaders, and provided leading edge benefit programs that impacted the organization’s ability to optimize shareholder return. As a direct result of John’s efforts, Bridgepoint received multiple awards recognizing the company’s excellence in Talent Development.
In 2009, John founded the Higgins Learning Group. In founding Higgins Learning Group, John’s vision brought the best HR & Learning thought leaders and solutions to clients. Representative clients served included Alticor, Inc.(Amway), Bayada Nurses, Bridgepoint Education, Inc., Caspian Learning, ShopRite Super Markets, Texas Health Resources, UT Dallas Business School, and UT Southwestern Medical School.
John had led and contributed to many consulting engagements in the areas of Industrial Operations, Consumer Products, Financial Services, High Tech, Telecommunications, and Retail. While at Accenture, John was the global leader for HR & Learning innovation deployment. There is a patent pending for John’s work in the field of learning measurement and John has been recognized with an Accenture Inventor’s Award. Client partnerships included Avaya, Bank of Ireland, British Telecom, Telstra, Unilever, WaMu, Levi’s, and Rio Tinto.
In 2009, John was named by the HR Outsourcing Association as an HR Superstar. John is frequently quoted in industry trade journals and he is a contributing author to HR Today magazine.
John received his MBA with a major in international business from the University of Miami, and a Bachelor of Science in management from Nova Southeastern University. John has completed graduate work in Organizational Behavior at the University of Texas, Dallas, and he is currently a doctoral student at the University of the Rockies.
